On or about the first or second week of…

On or about the first or second week of September, I accepted THEIR offer to take 20% off or $20 off or whatever, just had to give them my email. So I did.

Now I am getting heaps of emails from them and offers from PayPal to use them.

Well guess what, if the coupon YOU sent me to MY email worked, you would have already had my business. Too bad this was a time sensitive order so guess you missed out.

Interestingly they are even emailing me at other emails even though I have only provided them with the *1*. Not sure if they purchase consumer data and cross check it or what.

Either way they are so hard up for a sale after trying to cheat me out of their bogus offer for $20 or 20% — whichever, that they keep bothering me over and over.

By the way I had a pair of their low cut shoes with vibrams and they were truly horribly uncomfortable and unreliable. Regretted not spending the money and took it as a blessing in disguise that I wasn’t able to give them a second chance.

Buy Merrell shoes if you plan to hike barefoot, have lots of duct tape, and/or look forward to receiving no customer service

I took my son out for a week-long backpacking trip. I gave him a pair of unused Merrell shoes (Mesa Ventilator II) that I had purchased for myself several years ago – but had never worn. By day #2, of the hike, the sole had completely fallen off of one of the shoes. Day #3 claimed the other sole. Fortunately, we had brought some duct tape - which was used to temporarily fasten the soles and return to the trailhead. A call into Merrell non-customer service resulted in me being blamed for not wearing the shoe in a timely manner, to prevent what the representative called, “hydrolysis”. She said that since it has been over a year since I purchased the shoe, Merrell has a “strict policy” not to replace the shoes (despite Merrell’s telephonic introductory deceptive message stating, “We stand behind our products.”). She offered absolutely nothing in the form of compensation.

This company has really gone down the…

This company has really gone down the toilet in the last 5 years or so, too big and greedy perhaps. The customer service has turned god awful, they've never helped me only left me in a worse off situation the last several times I've contacted them. The return policy is awful, you have to eat the shipping cost / tax you paid AND pay an additional shipping cost on top of that for your return, EVEN IF YOU'RE RETURNING IT BASED ON THEIR MISTAKE! What a joke, there's so many much better footwear companies out there anymore, do research past this brand that obviously has a lot of money they spend on marketing and find a company that lets the product quality, customer service, and user reviews market for them.

Bought a pair of walking boots where the seam came apart after 2 months of use. Were out of warranty but hadn’t been worn because of lockdown. Offered 20% off to buy another pair (why would I buy another pair when the first pair were faulty). Then as a one-off goodwill gesture offered a replacement if I send an image of the boots with the inside labels crossed out. Sent an image and no reply to 3 e-mails since. I will update my review if the customer service they promised gets sorted.

What a terrible customer experience

What a terrible customer experience. Merrel's shoes failed on me in May. after 3 uses they broke. They bounced me between international departments, to the store i bought it from. It's now august. They attempted to deliver a new pair to me "only to a UK address, we only ship in the UK" and a friend was suppose to bring them to me when he visited from Manchester. They never arrived. I have to manage this return and exchange like a part time project manager. Their entire brand image is hindered by their customer experience. All they have to do, is give me a credit for their Danish web shop - and I'm good and happy. I hope someone from Merrell reads this and leans in to help me out.

Old sandals were lots lots better

I wish they would bring back the old design from 5 years ago. I still wear them now abs everyone loves the style. They have a toe piece and nice bow design made from cotton going across the front +strap and at the back 2 adjustable straps. Best sandle I have ever brought. I have also been in the sea and still kept the colour and comfort. Please bring the design back.

Source of Plantar Faciitis

I bought a pair of Moab2 boots and was happy with the 'roll' provided over the ball of my foot. Little did I know that the arch support in some Merrells is placed right to the back, where the heel should still be finding a concave shape to fit into. Because the insoles are stiff and unsupportive, that pressure jarred the inside of my heels with every step, leading to PF. It's unclear to me why Merrell would significantly change the footbed between shoes (or is it a fabrication error?) but my wife confirmed this after trying several types of Merrell. This was my first-, and will be my last pair of Merrells. Build quality is good, which is a moot point if you get injured wearing them.
